Nimbus Fish Hatchery
2001 Nimbus Rd, Gold River, CA Saturday, November 23, 12 pm - 1:30 pm Fee: Free Join one of our naturalists for a free, guided tour at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery to learn more about salmon, steelhead, and the amazing American River! We will explore the Nimbus Visitor Center, the American River Discovery Trail, and the hatchery raceways. During the tour, we will cover the life cycle and biology of Chinook salmon, their habitat needs, and human impact on riparian ecosystems. November and December are our peak season months for Chinook salmon. During this time, our fish ladder is open, and you can expect to see adult salmon in both the ladder and viewing windows. Monarch Butterflies at Natural Bridges State Park
